Saddle worth? Antares Monoflap. 2008 Demo Condition…

Off topic a bit, I once had a lady try to trade me a 2008 Antares mono flap in okay condition for my saddle (a 2014 schleese wave in good condition) when I was trying to find a saddle that fit my mare. As soon as I saw it on my mare I knew it was an awful fit, but she kept saying it was adjustable. I kept telling her, my saddles tree is adjustable, your saddles tree is not so while my saddle can fit a horses back awfully and be adjusted by a saddle fitter to fit perfectly in many cases, yours never will be able to and so I requested my saddle back.

It was honestly such a pain. A lot of people see reflocking as a saddle being adjustable and that’s not the case. It can help adjust the saddle a bit, but it’s not adjustable if you can only reflock the saddle.
