Selling unused stuff and having a value-oriented mindset

Thanks. I will check it out.

I have this phone I tried out, and I liked the phone, but I cannot bring myself to pay for the service (I am really, really cheap when it comes to phones).

For Craigslist in general, I have a personal rule that I will only respond to people that speak coherently and have some thought to their response.

That too. If people cannot respond coherently, I do not pay them much. I will set out the terms in the ad and in a response. I have two meeting places and a wide range of times. I request people tell me when and where they want to meet.

If I get a "will you come to me in some far off city", I just ignore it. Lots of those came for my phone.

Selling professional equipment and hobbyist gear gets the best responses.

TVs, consoles, "consumer" electronics, etc, get the worst, with phones being the absolute worst.

I think certain segments of the population need to learn the value of punctuality too. Now, I wait no more than 5 minutes. I walk away. If they call and ask, I might respond I guess.
