I'm leftwing when it comes to almost all matters under the sun but no matter what I can't get behind abortion. I get that it's necessary sometimes and believe it should be a right with little government interference and I've tried for years to really internalize that but I can't accept in my head aborting a fetus once it has passed the first trimester (although I do 100% believe things like that heartbeat law are dangerous). Instead, I think birth-control and safe sex should be championed way more (I consider abortion as birth-control kind of insidious). I consider myself pro-life over prochoice even though some would say this pro-choice because ultimately I really do believe that keeping the baby unless there's a medical or psychological reason (i.e. rape and incest) is the better way.
