I work as security in an ER, I have seen a lot in my time here. Nowhere near as bad as the Police Officers, Fire Fighters, and EMS workers that I know, but two things have stuck with me.

1. Having to grab and restrain a woman who was missing a good part of the side of her skull and was absolutely freaking the fuck out. I don't recall the circumstances surrounding how or why it happened, all I can remember of that day was looking into her head as she cursed us all out.
2. A 12 year old girl was out playing with her friend at 2 A.M. and decided that trying to jump onto a moving train sounded like a fun game. As she climbed up onto one of the train cars she swung her legs forward when then got pulled into the moving wheels of the train, severing both of them. Due to a series of fuck ups by the child's friend and mother, which I won't go into detail about, it was about 15 to 20 minutes before 911 was called. When they brought her in she was fully awake and aware of what was going on. There is more to this story that I cannot say, but she ended up living in the end.
