[Serious]Redditors who are now married because you didn't know how to break up with your SO, how is that going for you?

I tried breaking up with my now husband 3 times. Once in 2009, once in 2010 and again in 2013. To be honest- given the circumstances of the 2013 break up I should have stuck to my guns. He installed spyware to capture everything I was doing online, and kept going through my phone. I gave him no reason to think I was cheating, but he "has trust issues". I told him to get the fuck out of my apartment (we were living together but it was in my name). He would often call and text constantly while I was out with friends. Eventually that stopped (for the most part). In 2015 he proposed and we got married in 2016. Things seemed to be going ok, until early this year. My best friend from college wanted to take a trip to the Bahamas, and invited me. I asked him if he cared that I go, expressed I needed a vacation. He flipped out, saying no. That I would be sloppy and something would probably happen. I told him no, it wouldn't. Flipped because he doesn't trust me. He said "it's not that I don't trust you, I don't trust other men." Oh ok...

He isn't that supportive- I pay for everything. Recently got promoted and he didn't even congratulate me..

I'm trying to figure this all out now. It's hard because we've been together for 10 years.

Moral of the story- don't settle.
