[Serious] Redditors who are well-off financially or even rich, what is something poor people (don't) do that you just can't wrap your head around?

Well then what do you call a rich person who deliberately has children despite the fact that they know they have to travel for their job and they will leave their elementary school age children at home either with their mom, their second wife, or worse, their au paire. Because that's the neighborhood I grew up in. My next door neighbor moved in when I was 10, he was a very wealthy lawyer and he had to travel for cases at least one week out of the month. His wife was a trophy wife back in the 1960s when she got married at 21, but she couldn't do anything, couldn't cook, couldn't clean, wasn't artistic, wasn't a good writer. Their kids used to spend almost every afternoon with my mother- who taught nursery school part time- under the guise of my sister babysitting them. The kids had everything money could buy except parents who were good at being parents.

So, I know absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt that money really has very little to do with being a good parent. Whatever point you're trying to make misunderstands parenting.
