[Serious] To those ever addicted to hard drugs, what drug was it, what was it like while on it, and what was withdrawl like?

I respect your decision, but just to give you a different perspective I'll share my experience.

I pretty much didn't drink until I was 22, by then I started to have a social life and since then I eased into the drinking. Never addicted, but I like it. I drink every week.

Before I did that, I was scared I would lose control if I got drunk. Make a fool of myself, do things I don't want to do, but in reality, that never happened. When drunk, I'm still me. I might be more brash, louder, maybe more annoying, but I know what I'm doing.

Fast forward to last year, when I was forty. My gf wanted to try xtc, and I was sorta scared to do it, although I knew xtc is a way less harmful drug than alcohol. But I did anyway, and since then (about a year ago) I've done LSD, 2cb, Ketamine and Cocaine, and I can honestly say it is RIDICULOUS that those are illegal when alcohol isn't. Most of them are a good time, but that's about it. I still have a job, I eat well, and I have no cravings to do drugs every weekend.

I think if you're a balanced and confident person, most drugs are really really armless, and you won't get addicted.
