I'd been saving 4 quads of ecstasy for my boyfriend and I to do together for about a month. One night I was bored and didn't have to work until late the next evening, so I took 2 (I had an unfortunately high tolerance at this point). Put on some mellow jams, doodled a pretty cool picture of a dragon looking out a castle window, and then realized an hour and a half had gone by and I felt nothing. Damn, they must have gone bunk because I held onto them so long. May as well take the other two, might get a little something going at least.

An hour later, the drugs began to take hold. One of my roommates at the time was snoring loudly in the living room, and I started to cry, because I was certain her snores were actually the growls of a lion. I got up slloowwllyy to go get juice from the kitchen, while carrying my mighty kitten, Rupert Geoffrey, with me (because the lion will never harm his brethren), and gasp! heartpoundingterror as I see my other roommate who has now turned into a ghost, as clearly evidenced by her floor length white nightgown.

I tiptoe back into my room, when I see it. The dragon picture has come to life. Frightened out of my wits, I did the only thing one can do in the midst of a dragon attack- shove it face down in your panty drawer, then use your blankets as a protective fortress for you and your cat. We hid there for a fortnight or so, until a ringing penetrated our silent vigil- my boyfriend was calling to ask why I'd sent him a bunch of texts saying to come save Rupert and I from a dragon. I wound up being awake, jittery, and semi tripping for a total of about 32 hours, including my work shift the next night. Overall, 8/10.
