[Serious] What paranormal experiences have you actually had that you cannot explain?

I cannot say that I've ever experienced any paranormal phenomenon, but I do have a story that some of you guys may find a little interesting which was told to me by my previous girlfriend's father. He and his family live in a small village/hamlet in Lincolnshire, England, which is located roughly a mile away from the North Sea coast and a bombing range running alongside the coast which at the time was used on a daily basis by aircraft belonging to both the RAF and USAF. He used to regularly walk his dog on a footpath which ran along the side of the bombing range in the evenings.

Anyway, if I remember the story correctly he was walking his dog one evening as usual until he came across two men stood on the sea bank which overlooked the bombing range, talking to each other with raised voices. As he drew towards them it became apparent that they were both American and wearing flight suits. He thought they seemed somewhat distressed, so he called to them and asked either if they were okay/whether there was a problem. They both turned, walked up the sea bank towards him got talking to him. They introduced themselves, stating that they were a pilot/co-pilot respectively and that they'd been forced to ditch their aircraft, a USAF F-111, just a few yards off the coast only twenty minutes beforehand following a collision with geese. The two guys appeared, as mentioned, quite distressed and were cursing quite profusely. They did, however, joke about how lucky they were to still be alive and uninjured, both convinced that they were goners.

My ex-girlfriend's father, although entirely convinced by their account, thought it was bloody odd. Living in such close proximity to the bombing range he couldn't recall hearing a jet flying up the bombing range, let alone a crash. Also, being somewhat of an aircraft enthusiast he was convinced that the F-111 had been withdrawn from USAF service years beforehand (this would have happened sometime around 2003/2004, while the aircraft had been retired for almost a decade at the time). Regardless, he asked the two men if they'd like to come back to his house, less than a ten minute walk away, and wait there for the relevant authorities to arrive. They politely declined the offer, telling him that they wouldn't have to wait much longer and advised him to carry on with his walk, saying that if he stayed around and got wrapped up in it all he'd waste his evening. He took their advice, wished them well, shook their hands, and walked back home with his dog.

Getting on towards an hour later there was still no sign of a rescue or recovery crew in the area, so he phoned the nearest RAF station to check if they were aware of the crash, but was told that there was absolutely no chance of a crash having taken place as no military aircraft, be they RAF or USAF, had been in the area for hours and they confirmed his suspicions that the F-111 was no longer used by the USAF in the region. At a later date he learnt than in the 80s and early 90s, shortly before he moved to the area, a few F-111s had crashed near the bombing range while performing low-altitude bombing runs, killing all crew on all occasions.

He either came across two very convincing actors or something very peculiar indeed had unfolded.
