Sex. Why are women made to feel bad about our bodies and wanting sex?

I feel biologically and ecologically it is about mate selection. If you are a woman you are limited in how many offspring you can have to approximately one per year, excepting multiples births of course. Men however are only limited by the number of women they can woo, so if a woman has had multiple sexual partners there is more chance of her being inseminated by one of those previous partners and not the current partner. I feel that, although culturally we are more advanced than other animal species, biologically we are not and that then leads to a culture of men seeking power and dominance over women through shaming promiscuity and idealising virginity.
