Sheriff’s Raid to Find Blogger Who Criticized Him Was Unconstitutional, Court Rules

the warrants are issued excessively

Maybe so

they search for warrants selectively

Really? They can just do that? Even after I've explained how that warrant is kept in a computer system akin to the x-files, you still believe that any police officer can just be like, lol wonder what this guy is doing? Every time they submit a request to NCIC it goes under review by the FBI. The first thing they look for is why does this person need (remember this is a federal NTK system, read federally CLASSIFIED) to have access to this information? If I was continuously pulling warrants on /u/DistortoiseLP and /u/DistortoiseLP had not once been arrested or fingerprinted (also explained above) and added to NCIC, do you not understand that that would bring the doom hammer down on anyone?

Also, as I've already stated, yes it's possible that they keep track of their own warrants in their counties, however, chances are that when they call in a license plate to dispatch, that person is run automatically through NCIC which does not exclude them from the consequences stated above. Unneeded access to a federal NTK database is a federal crime.

In conclusion, if the articles you have posted are stating that police officers somehow have magical access to NCIC then yes, those articles are false. Simple as that. It does not, can not, and will not happen.
