Should I [39m] check into a hotel to give my wife [34f] some space and time to reflect?

Eugh, I put my foot down on this type of shit (though it still comes up from time to time) awhile ago with my SO. Similar boat. I don't know if anyone will agree with me, but my opinion is that your wife is bored and doesn't know how to stay entertained after she runs out of iPad and drama shows and puts that burden on you. She sees you having your own fun, sees it as a betrayal of sorts because you're withholding your "secret power" of not being bored from her, and then she projects -- making you the source of her problems. Maybe she should find some friends or hobbies she enjoys instead of starting a fight every time she has to content with how boring she's become.
