Should Democrats focus more on targeting working class white voters or college educated suburban white voters?

Yeah, no that's not what it is. #1 being that white people cannot be racist, as they benefit from the system regardless of what class they are in. Now I understand that there are intersections, poor, white, and gay for instance, but the point is that a poor, black and gay person is going to face more obstacles than the white person. It's interesting you criticize the dems for 'identity' politics yet what was one of trumps slogans... "The Silent Majority". LOL. The democrats aren't about to drop the minorities who are coming out of the woodwork. Your post seems to have an underlying racist tone to it, "just drop some white men into the rust belt to appeal to the whites and all will be fine and dandy again". Yeah nope, these problems are far more deep rooted than appeasing some rust belt voters. I'm curious as to what you think Trump's social policy is, because he lacks the moral character to actually stick to one policy, and all social policy is gone from his website.
