My Sob story of a poor Canadian who was unable to pre-order shulk
It all started after failing to find anything but Zeldas when wave two launched (didn't realize only zeldas had probably shipped), so I figure to avoid this happening again I would go to pre-order the one amiibo from wave 3 that I really wanted, Shulk (since there likely is never going to be another figure of him released again). So i go to my most local store, an EB games nearby and learn that they aren't taking pre-orders on any wave 3 stuff company wide. I figure that this at least gives me a chance as it's more likely I'll be able to make it when the store opens then a small pre-order opportunity and leave being relatively pleased with the situation.
Little did I know though is that the company started taking pre-orders a few days right after I learned that. It was only a few days after did I learn that pre-orders went live despite some reasuring voices no pre-orders would be taken and that of course Shulk is sold out (along with Dedede). I was pretty saddened by this news honestly and with the way the rest of the stuff has been handled (low shipments, horrible communication, random releases, target closing,etc.) it was really just bumming me out.
Fast forward a few months where I have not been able to find a stray shulk at all, I learn the news that Shulk was getting a second shipment in May. Oh Happy Day! I was going to be able to get a Shulk at MSRP, I didn't care about needing to wait, I just wanted a nice Shulk Figure to display. So I go in and call my local store if they are accepting orders for this new wave and they say they have no info about this. I figure it's likely just not in the system yet and ask this lovely place if they had similar experiences.
It is then I learned the horrible truth, Canada would not be getting this second shipment at all! It's still something I don't get or understand, how could Canada, a country that market wise is pretty much identical to the US and share an fairly open boarder will not be getting any Shulks. It just hurt because this was the second time Shulk Pre-orders had tugged at my heart and then ripped it out right from under me.
I would really appreciate it if you could find it in your heart to give this to me as I would be absolutely ecstatic and really wouldn't know what to say. I would gladly pay for Shipping because this is an act that would be to kind. Thank you for considering this and I hope you have a wonderful day.
