Since we have Crash comming, I got my nostalgic "CoD4 ProMod" loadout ready. Can't wait to try it out and rush A side again.

What did you expect, going into a subreddit specifically for fans of the current competitive CoD scene? That would be like going into a sports subreddit and calling their sport complete shit.

As someone that played promod competitively (and at relatively high levels - played in major cod4 tournies including the first xfire tournament, went to a few LANs, cal-o, cal-im, cal-m), I agree with most of what you said but there are some major issues with your points.

First of all, respawn game modes are not uncompetitive. CTF and TDM are the very first competitive team-based game modes that were played in esports competitions (going way back). SnD is probably only popular because counter strike is king and CoD has been trying to imitate that in terms of rule sets.

Killstreaks, perks and attachments aren't an issue in competition either (okay maybe killstreaks are). The issue with them is BALANCE. If the perks are unbalanced, or if everyone is picking up the same perks anyways, then there is no point to them, they need to be removed - example: CoD4 had terrible balance for perks. Attachments were enabled in most competitive mods with restrictions.
