Sonic Mania is finally released on PC today

The reason is piracy, not people that buy the games. Get angry with the people that pirate games, not me.

I've been "angry about games" before. There were games that weren't released in my region before, for example. Or things like Destiny 2 being $100 for no reason instead of $60 (they later changed this after two months). Do you know what I did? I complained to Activision, of course, but I didn't try to get people in the US to not buy Destiny 2 because Activision decided to charge more in my region.

People, as consumers, can make their own choices. I think it's beautiful that you can put yourself in the shoes of another person, but answer this honestly: Let's say you're really looking forward to a game, but the publisher decides to charge almost double for everyone in the world except the US (or wherever you live). Would you buy it or skip it in solidarity to the greater gaming community?

Everyone makes decisions thinking about how those decisions affect them personally, even if it's at the level of a community or country.

This a game, a consumer product, no one is going to die if they don't have it. People will (and should) vote with their money.
