I'm not sure the figures add up either, first the assumption here is that everyone pays taxes, you know how high is evasion in southern europe?
then, its not just the mega rich that would have to be affected so its basically tax rises for almost everyone..a bit like Corbyn was suggesting on his last campaign and guess whos going to vote for that? nobody.
the guardian article is probably more realistic with their numbers for something thats feasable.
for higher amounts I'm not sure I see the scheme paying for itself just by circulating in the economy. I could be wrong that's why we need to test it and would be interesting to see the outcome in Spain.
