Stagnation, please help.

A career in music is incredibly rare, not trying to beat you down but that's just the reality of that field. It's a very hard and competitive career.

That being said you should still strive to follow it, but maybe do so in your spare time whilst also holding down a more secure job, as ideally that's what you mainly want. - job security.

I battled with the exact same feelings for a long time, I was qualified in a job I hated because it was mind numbing and boring. I also love music and tried for about 5 years to make it in music professionally, one day I started to realise that I basically neglected everything else in my life.

I put all my eggs in one basket so to speak, so that's basically what you should avoid as it's horrible waking up one day and realising it. I'm not doubting you have talent as I don't know you, you could be the next world class musician for all I know, but if for whatever reason it doesn't work out.. Then you'll want to make sure you have a backup.

So I'd say focus on finding a career which will allow you to have some time in your life to also follow your passions.
