Sadly your best bet is to always be polite to them because of how it looks in court, there are a lot of pro police boot lickers that will convict your ass just because they think you were disrespectful to the cop. There was a guy arrested in Florida and he was found guilty of trespassing, even though the prosecutor had to admit he was actually on public property the whole time the jury didn’t care. The news talked to a juror after the case and he admitted that he basically convicted him because of his attitude, the reporter asked him if he thinks people should just hand over ID if they are standing on the sidewalk breaking no law and a cop asks for it. He said yes that he thinks everybody should just hand over their ID when a cops asked for it, you can tell the reporter is shocked by the answer and informed him that you have to be breaking the law first but the guy didn’t care you should show it no matter what.
