To stop Kanye West from praising Hitler

When I read the headlines I figured he was doing the whole “slavery is a choice” thing again, where there’s a point that could be made but Kanye doesn’t have the intellect to do so. The point here would obviously be that people aren’t black and white but rather shades of grey. Bill Cosby is a modern example of this in that he’s done both a lot of good and evil in his life. Sure there is probably some shades of grey with Hitler, but WWII and the Holocaust are his legacy. I can see the angle of love in that you “love” everyone. It’s not popular to recognize the humanity in those that would do us great harm, but some people are capable of it. You could look at the strong traits of Hitler and feel sad that he wasn’t able to use his skills for good.

All of that is to say there is a conversation to be had about the depth of humanity, but Kanye is the last person anyone would expect to get n actual honest and constructive conversation from. When I actually saw the clips it was obvious he wasn’t just unable to articulate himself well but rather I don’t even think that was his goal. This seems like irl shitposting to get a reaction. It’s kind of like when kids get on Xbox live and figure out they can say as many racial slurs as possible with practically no consequence. Unlike the kids, I doubt Kanye will ever grow out of it or look back and realize he was dumb and immature.

Maybe it’s mental health issues, but that’s no longer an excuse. His behavior has been awful long enough that if it were mental health issues he should have sought help, and if he isn’t in the right state of mind to seek help himself then this is definitely grounds for having him committed for a while. Having disabilities or mental health issues doesn’t excuse being a total piece of human garbage, and Kanye is definitely a piece of garbage. I hope the guy somehow finds help or gets over this shit, but I also hope he continues to lose everything he’s worked for because quite frankly he’s undeserving of the blessings he’s received. If his parents are still alive I hope they’re incredibly disappointed in him.
