Conjecture from me, but moral relativism combined with a belief that everything is a social construct has created a niche in the far left that thinks that there's nothing morally wrong with pedophilia because the trauma is a social construct. There are people out there who think that pedophilia is traumatic because we socialize children to feel traumatized by it, so if we didn't kids would enjoy it like they enjoy a hug. Several of gamergate's critics have been in trouble over child porn and molestation in the past 4 years. There's a sourced list of them on the GG wiki, iirc. So it seems plausible to me that these people would do such a thing. They're both moral relativists and an "ends justify the means" group with no self-awareness. Dangerous combination.
