Yeah thanks for the useless info.

What people are actually referring to here is that the app consistently believes it is offline even though you are definitely online.

We're not trying to play songs offline and unable to. We're not trying to play un-downloaded songs when we're actually offline. We're not idiots.

What's actually happening is that we're trying to search or browse for songs or trying to play radio playlists when we are totally online and the app is in online mode and the app is failing to work and pretending to be offline.

This is a really common problem (apparently) and has been happening for over a year now and they haven't done shit to fix it. It just randomly does or doesn't work. Sometimes a phone restart will fix it for a few hours and then it stops working again.
