Are you ready to go to prison? Are you ready to die? Are you ready to kill? I'm not. I'm absolute chicken shit, and ready to waste away in my shabby box of an apartment until we cook,freeze or the next big global emergency takes me. I've accepted this because I know 99% reading this thread are chicken shit too.

And where are your protests now? What killed your drive to go out into the streets everyday and continue to "fight" the system. Was it when people started losing hope and stop showing up? Was it when the hammers swung so hard that people realized it was not worth it? Was it when the bills came in and worked called and you realized you had too much invested in the system and too much to lose to continue playing revolutionary?

Part of the reason I have no hope is because I've seen it all before. I used to larp revolutionary just like you. I used to go to the local occupies, the first BLM protests, and whatever else was the concern of the month. Every time people would come, push back would come, some would lose their stomachs, reality would set in for others. and we all went home at the end of the day never achieving what we set out to accomplish.

People began to lose their stomach with the 2nd BLM protest because there were members who realized they were going to achieve nothing simply dancing in the streets every 4 years. The police were more willing to kill, and better equipped. Infighting started to tear the movement from within, and eventually it fizzled out because shit gets cold in the winter.

If this is your plan to solve the climate crisis, then I might as well get comfortable, and find a high and dry enough hill to die on.
