I've lived under a health care system that has been sharply criticized for these exact same things, for the past few decades...

And this free (yet highly critically bombed) health care system, sharply criticized for upwards of 3 decades, saved my Mom's life 3 times, and my own life once, and countless of my other friends and relatives likewise many times.

Having said that, the free medicare system in my nation has experienced its issues and challenges.

But you can respond to that by annoyingly saying: "You see! I told you so! Health care as a basic right will encounter big problems! We should give up and abolish it, and make sure no one in the middle and lower classes ever get proper health care! I mean... I'm healthy and never needed a doctor in my whole life!"

Or you can response by simply trying to tweak and improve the system as society evolves, and new technologies evolve.
