See, I don’t agree because when I was watching Hakim’s video all I could think of was how their writings could be extrapolated to the conditions in America today and how Hakim was totally missing the mark on this. (I actually watched Hakim’s video before I knew who Vaush was). I thought Vaush did a decent job extrapolating in his video, but I understand how some of it can seem like a stretch.

I didn’t find any of Hakim’s extensions on the quote to make me think “oh Vaush, really missed the mark on that one” I kept thinking “wow, Hakim is really showing how little he understands America and that’s why he doesn’t understand what Vaush is saying”.

Yes, exactly. But this doesn’t work in Hakim’s favor in this particular situation, as reflected by his failure to properly understand the current American political system.

Yes that’s true, but that isn’t a great argument in the first and Hakim took it even further to say they are effectively the same, which is way off.
