Tell me about your worst experience with a professional makeup artist!

Photoshoot for highschool seniors for the year book amd diploma. I rarely let someone do my make-up, but the school hired a "make-up artist". It was a relative of a school personnel, the "artist" used the same tools on everyone. Didn't disinfect anything. Back then pancake powder foundation was pretty popular for events in my country. You have to wet your sponge if you want a full coverage and lasts longer on skin. I was nervous as hell. I was the second or third person on the line, the two girls look fine after the session. Made the brows cleaner, basic brown smokey eye, pink blush and lipstick. When it was my turn she started complementing the contact lenses I was wearing that day. She left my eyebrows alone, which if fine since my brows are thick and dark. I noticed she used a different eyeshadow color which is hot pink. There was no mirror near me so I can't see anything. The result was bad. I only had hot pink shadow all over my lids. I was surprised because it took her a long time to apply the shadow. Didn't blend or add any color. Thick straight line eyeliner which did not fit my eye shape. Baby pink blush and a warm red lipstick.

My whole face look irritated since it was all pink and red. I tried my best to fix my make-up, I changed my lipstick and I think I bought an eyeshadow that day. I remember trying to apply another color to tone it down because the color was so bright. After the session I was the only one who looks different. The rest of the girls have the same brown smokey eye and pink lips look. I feel like she changed her mind and started experimenting colors on me.

You can see on the photos on my diploma that I wasn't really happy and my eyelids were hot pink. It was also class picture day, good thing you can't tell far away how bad my make-up was. When I received my year book, good thing the school was cheap af to print the whole year book in color. Colored photos were mostly on the school events. The Senior portraits were in black and white. I was so upset that day and was afraid to complain since the school staff were mean to students.
