Many years ago I had friends who lived in a block of flats directly across the road from the Story Bridge Hotel in Brisbane

So one year for their festival of beers (afaik they still have this - they have 100 different Australian beers on tap) a bunch of us took a week on annual leave and decided to see if any of us could drink all 100 beers in a week

I came soooo close but I was kicked out on 98 beers

My recollection of events is that I had done absolutely nothing wrong and was unfairly targeted and that the bouncers wouldn't listen to my well reasoned arguments on why they should let me back in.

Other people (who admittedly were a LOT more sober than me at the time) have tried to claim that what I did was throw up all over myself and the bar and that my "reasoned arguments" consisted of me pointed at the card used to record which beers you had tried and saying something that sounded like I was probably trying to say "98" but wasn't in any language they recognised.
