[theory] rethinking common knowledge, have the times changed enough for us to rewrite the book on steroids?

I always liked this post by /u/kilimanjaro13 and planned to expand on it in the wiki. PDF for Google paranoid.

The basic idea is an anabolic phase followed by an androgenic phase, with a solidification phase before PCT or cruising.

Anabolic: Mass drugs, with a low androgenic potential. Deca, EQ, Test, maybe Primo. Dbol, tbol, anavar, maybe winstrol. This is basically a phase to put on size without much strain on the body. I use low test here because I think test is relatively androgenic.

Androgenic: Heavy androgens, that will harden the body and cause more pronounced chanes, as well as more pronounced stress. High or low test depending on preference, tren, mast, maybe primo. Superdrol, Anadrol, Dbol, Halo, maybe winnie. So in this phase that mass should harden and strength should really explode.

Solidification: I am a strong believer in tapering off. Long ester drugs will do this for you, but short half-lives afford you more control over the process. If one is planning to pct, primo and anavar have the least potential for suppression. You don't want drugs like deca or tren or test in your system when you begin pct because they are very suppressive and difficult to recover from. If you're cruising, you just want to harden the muscle you gained and expel the bloat before you drop all your drugs. I would phase out the heavy stuff in favor of mast or primo for a few weeks before dropping those to cruise. Or cruise on a little primo with your test.

My idea for pct is in there, as well as some accessory drugs that might be used on cycle like the peptides and clen. And some stupid ideas are in there too, I'll edit them out later.

Exercise on / off cycle

I would add to this that I'm also becoming a believer in adding this type of gear cycle into an exercise routine that consists of two phases:

Phase I, On cycle: Primarily hypertrophy training to increase total muscle mass.
Phase II, Off cycle: Go heavy. Solidify your muscle -> mind connection in order to train this new muscle to fire on demand.

In terms of what gear to use and gear knowledge.

This is going to be an ongoing debate. At the end of the day, however, Test is Best is my rule of thumb. Everything else is just additive to a strong Test base. As has been said, most of the information we have is anecdotal and doesn't rise to conclusive.
