Thoughts on taking a gap year?

Do it but only if you're going to be productive. I took a gap year after high school. Got a job at GAME to just keep me busy while I figure things out. In 2010 I started my LLB degree and graduated 4 years later.... And only then did I realise that I don't like the law lol. Now do Video production for a living and I'm incredibly happy. You're young. You can make mistakes as long as you are realistic with yourself and don't get lazy. The field I work in now, degrees mean jackshit and it's all about your portfolio. Very few fields are like this so if you need a degree, take the gap year and make the switch to computer science after. I have friends in that field who are earning a lot of money and they all work from home. Don't listen to people who haven't achieved anything because they will tell you to stick to your current degree because apparently to them, you would have wasted a year. If that was the case, I wasted 5 years of my life. Wish you all the best my dude.
