TIL that Donald Trump, his sons and daughters were signatories of a full page ad in New York Times calling for "meaningful and effective action" regarding climate change.

That Trump basically never existed, that's the problem. These are all cherry-picked statements he's made to the media and the like, and actions always speak louder than words.

Sure, he said that he thinks we should have universal healthcare—but when his newborn grandnephew was in the hospital in the NICU after Donald's dad passed away, he just happened to threaten to cut off the child's healthcare unless his parents agreed that Donald deserved the bulk of the estate. Donald was executor and his father had always paid the family medical bills—Trump basically said, "You don't split my brother's inheritance from my dad fifty-fifty, you get a pittance and I take the rest or else you won't be able to pay for healthcare for your newborn son.

Sure, he sued Florida to allow black and Jewish people into his club, but it was for business reasons, not a social obligation for justice. 40% of the people in the area were Jewish. He also used to practice housing discrimination in the 70s and was known to have black employees removed from the floor whenever he went to his clubs. When he got busted for housing discrimination, he worked with Roy Cohn and pulled out all the dogwhistles he could—he wasn't discriminating, the government was suing him for not housing mooches and welfare queens!

Sure, he's very pro-choice and supports partial-birth abortions, he just happened to pick a running mate who wants to consign Roe V. Wade "to the ash heap of history," and defund Planned Parenthood, which is responsible for countless great things, from preventing STDs to stopping teenage pregnancy.

Sure, he supports LGBT rights: he held up that flag that one time, so his empty talk has to be right! Forget about the fact that he also revoked federal protections for LGBT contractors, transgender students, and chopped off research into LGBT issues.

Sure, he thinks we should end the war on drugs by legalizing and taxing them—just don't look at ol' Jeff in the corner telling people that marijuana is as bad as heroin and that we need to recriminalize it so we can fill our prisons up and reboot the devastating War on Drugs.
