newsflash times square was just as ugly back then as it is now. just a swarm of cars. what beauty. i don't see what the appeal of times square ever was unless you're just a brainwashed consumer happy to serve the corporate propoganda machine, after all it is just a bunch of signs and shitty infrastructure (for people). i'm not saying i'd rather look at a picture of a meadow or mountain instead, but theres nothing really appealing about this plot of land anyways. you have a little island where people can stand and a river of cars that doesnt behave like a river at all because each drop of water follows its own rules is flooding all around you. you take the cars away and maybe it can redeem itself, but it's still a shitty design
