A nation run by a former KGB officer that stands to gain or lose billions of dollars based on it's dealings with the U.S. may have used it's intelligence agencies to gain an advantage over the U.S. president?

if you'll allow me to put my tinfoil hat on for a minute....

It's all about the oil.

Russia wants to rebuild their oil industry and invaded Crimea for the massive oil reserves there. Rex Tillerson, our soon to be Sec of State, along with Exxon and Rosneft (Russia's state owned oil company) were working on a deal -valued at something like $500 billion to $1 trillion- to explore and develop those oil fields. That deal, however, fell through because of the sanctions which stemmed from the invasion.

So, if you're Putie what do you do? Do you let Clinton, who would probably keep the sanctions, get elected, or do you try like hell to get Ol' Donnie elected instead? Seems like an easy choice really.

After all, what's a little hacking and election tampering when there's a trillion dollars on the line?
