I might have a problem if it was him actually mandating the stuff. 90% of the police in this country are poorly trained. Jails are places where people who make mistakes go, so I don't think ANYWHERE you're going to find compassionate jailers who are going to cater to one's every request.

While I don't think people should be dying in jail, I don't think it should be a pleasant place or a pleasant experience. Taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the bill for a hotel-room like stay for inmates who will do nothing but sit on their ass for their duration of their sentence. While prison is usually reserved for longer stays, you'd be surprised at the extended residencies that are in county jails (ex five consecutive 1-year sentences).

I think a lot of liberals don't like him because he's anti-feminist and pro-Trump.

Look at any jail in the country and you'll see glaring errors. What about Sandra Bland? What about other inmates who have been put on suicide watch but are not and end up taking their own lives? What about guards who are murdered by inmates because proper procedures are not put in place? These happen in jails all over the place, but they like to single him out due to his conservative views. He's a lawman more than he is a politician, and he was elected by the people that he serves.

So when you explain what's "wrong" with him, you might want to look around and see that the only thing that is "wrong" with him is political and nothing else.
