I recently ended things with a guy that I dated for just a month and a half.

And he used this mindset in order to try to convince me to go forward and keep dating...

"what if the next guy you date is an alcoholic"

"what if in two years I've bought a house, I work in this city. And I run into you. You've then had another two failed relationships, but I can't date you because I met someone else and I'm in a relationship" - like wtf dude

"what if you and I could be amazing, but you give it up because right now I don't have the things in place the you need and I'm the future it'll all be what you needed. And you date others, but they will all be bad men"

Wtf... Don't bring up stupid scenarios to keep me from ending things with you. I have thought of this already. And I still don't want to keep dating you.
