No no no no no. If you are over 18 and being paid, the person paying you is your employer, not your parent, not your friend, not your life coach. You owe them nothing other than what you are being paid to do. They owe you nothing other than what they promised to give you in return for your services.

If nothing else, we know that Remilia is not suing Badawi, nor has Badawi been charged with a crime.

Additionally, we can assume that none of this took place in a vacuum. I don't know if Remilia has family, but she did have a significant other, she did have teammates, she had lots of resources to help her, and she went through with the surgery. Are we going to assume that all those people were out to get her too? It's a lot easier for me to believe she made a decision, regrets it, and doesn't want to accept all the blame.
