My last two years of engineering school I worked 3-4 jobs at a time. I had an internship in NYC that turned into a contract position so I commuted 1.5hrs each way into the city every weekday. On the train I’d do some contract excel and specification work for a cosmetics company I had picked up through networking with my professors, on the weekends And evenings I’d tutor, and somehow I spent another 20-30 hours a week nights/evenings as a hostess at a restaurant in my college town. All on top of night and online classes.

Setting all this up was a coordinated effort between my jobs and the dean of my department who was determined to see me graduate. His patience and the goodwill of these individuals is what allowed me to finish college after some serious financial setbacks not of my own creation nearly made that impossible.
