Tyler, The Creator - Cherry Bomb: First Impressions

This albums alright. There were two pretty awful tracks imo (Cherry Bomb and Keep Da O's). Cherry Bomb (the track) was one of the most clustered things I've ever listened to and not bing able to even hear Tyler really bothers me, plus this particular instrumental isn't even that good and just sounds kinda like a blown out speaker. Keep Da O's just felt like Trashwang without the 'fun' aspect to it.

A handful of these tracks were completely forgettable. Pilot, Run, Blowmyload, and Okaga, CA all don't really serve much of a purpose being there in my eyes. They all seem to try to achieve something that another track on this album achieves much better. Like Pilot just feel like a worse Deathcamp and Okaga, CA just feels like a less inspired singing track.

I enjoy the rest though. Didn't like Deathcamp at first but it's grown on me and serves as the perfect enrgetic introduction to this project. Find Your Wings is pretty fucking relaxing. Same goes for 2Seater but an even higher degree. Brownstains, Fucking Young/Perfect, and Smuckers is a great 3 song streak imo. Brownstains is just a pretty typical Tyler track with great production and a great ScHoolboy verse and I love it. Fucking Young feels pretty similar to 2Seater to me, but I fucking love Tyler's production on it and it's gotta have my favorite instrumental off the entire album. Smuckers is my favorite track. Tyler goes in, Kanye goes in, Weezy goes in, and that back and forth is fantastic.

Overall great production, decent lyrics, and good diversity on here. Enjoy a decent amount of tracks, but there are a good amount of forgettable/bad tracks as well. Overall probably feeling about a 6.5/10 so far.
