Isreal is the one that was running around practically begging for this fight and saying how he was gonna “properly finish him” and “beat the shit out of him” and then he didn’t do shit. Both are to blame, period. It’s similar to some of Anderson’s fights. If you wanted Anderson to win then “the opponent didn’t engage” but if you wanted Anderson to lose then it was “to be the best you have to bring it to the champ”. But realistically this fight was complete garbage and I don’t feel that one guy is more responsible than the other. That said, I agree that it’s complete bullshit that Romero was blaming Isreal. I also didn’t like Isreal saying “I did enough to win” I REALLY didn’t ever expect to hear him say something like that.
