Yeah no, Russia has been wanting to invade Ukraine since 2014 when they took Crimea.

This war is purely on Russians invading Ukraine, every reason they provided was just smoke, "If Ukraine joins NATO, NATO will be on our boarder" they already are and they can't join NATO unless they admit the Crimea is Russian territory what would never happen, "The west controls Ukraine" more likely you lost power because the Ukranians hated the fact that Russia basically controlled Ukraine up until 2008, "Their nazis" at this point Russia was running out of reasons, military their is no reason for Russia to invade no reason at all, their is only one reason Ukraine is soo vital to Russia is because Ukraine has one of the most resourceful land in the world, they have oil, massive amounts of farming land, mines, silicone and etc...
