Unpopular Opinion: This is the golden age of RuneScape, not back when we were kids.

2011 was better in my opinion - there was a lot more diversity in the average player. Now everyone's on the efficiency meta where exp and gp is the only thing that matters. Remember the days where you could log on to the clan wars world and join a CC and be involved in a huge war? Doesn't happen these days. OSRS doesn't really have any unique content that wasn't around before either, not like DG-release where people were absolutely clueless on what to do on release. It seems everything is either slayer or pvm related these days and it's a bit stale.

In 2019 you have two types of players, those who just fuck around and post memes on the subreddit, or a EHP nerd who 3 ticks everything and brags about how many alts they play as if it's impressive. Game is still fun to grind but it's not what it was.
