I literally quoted you before lol. Again, first of all, that is not what you said. And second, you're right that everyone says things out of anger. But where you're wrong with this situation is, OPs ex was not just saying that out of anger. The fact that he threatened to blackmail her if she left him (the fact alone, not even mentioning the fact that he SENT HER A DRAFT) is something that many, many people do in order to manipulate their partner into staying with them. I'll reiterate the same thing is done when people threaten to hurt themselves, take their own life, or hurt someone else, in order to manipulate an individual into staying in the relationship.

There is a huge, HUGE difference, between "saying something out of anger" vs. being angry about your ex leaving you, and threatening blackmail to get them to stay.
