Get Used to It, America: We’re No Longer No. 1 - China probably has become the world’s biggest economy and will reap the benefits that once flowed to the U.S.

Whenever this exact story is reported again, I always look for the America VS China comments. They’re always great. Id like to muse for a bit; that a standing army with nations this size would amount to essentially jack shit. This would be a purely naval/aerial war with the US having a very huge advantage right out of the gate. First, we’d take out their satellites. Probably using energy weapons or conventional missiles launched from high altitude aircraft, probably balloons. This would blind them immediately. After that, you’d go for fuel, pretty easy to pull the plug on China. They get all but 15% of their oil from US allies or puppet states with the remaining 15% coming from Russia. And put Russia in a hard place by having them cut off China or get cut off from the rest of the world economy. Russia has plenty of interest in the power vacuum created in Asia if China were to fall, so not worries there. Internally, power is either coal or hydro. 70% coal, and they are the worlds largest producer. 30% renewable, hydro being the biggest. Knocking out dams with tomahawk missiles would be par for the course but leaving most coal plants more or less intact for the eventual nation building effort. Next, India would pressure them from the south, with Japan, Korea, and various US allies on the coast. China’s coast is all they got, so a naval blockade could pretty quickly starve out the coast. Once they got desperate enough, maybe they throw a few nukes toward India. US hopefully swats those down. But at this point, nuclear options are basically Armageddon. So doubtful they’d be used. At this point, surrounded and desperate, the Chinese will be ready for democracy, by force. It would take longer that Bush’s adventurism in Iraq, but not much longer. We could stretch it to 2 years if we moved slowly but it could be done in 3 months with a new Chinese government installed by April 1st if we started on New Years. Again, just thinking about it because it’s fun. Next: emus vs British criminals.... oh wait
