View: Punk is one of the most close-minded and pretentious scenes around.

My friends and I have varying views. We're friends because we don't hate on each other for having different opinions.

The problem is with people finding views offensive in the first place. Generally, being offended is silly, but being offended by someone's politics seems even sillier -- especially when your morality is almost the same. I don't align myself with the left or the right. I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that I'm right-wing without actually hearing what any of my views are. This is a problem... Gay marriage should be legal. I'd like to see us try to remove guns from society. I believe in global warming. I believe military intervention in Syria, as well as other places with deplorable human rights records, is often the only way to put their people in a position to prosper. I think main stream feminism is stupid because my friends are called "internalized misogynists" for wearing make-up, and if I try to break down the wage gap I'm called an oppressor. I think we should crack down on illegal immigration by using unarmed drones on the boards because it's efficient and cost effective but that we should grant amnesty to most of the people that are already here. I think the police brutality issue, while very real, is being over-hyped and that we're causing more tension than we are helping. I hate political correctness. I'd like to see higher tax rates on rich people. I don't believe in God. How am I right wing?

And trust me. I'm not a dick. I know this will sounds stupid, but I've been considered one of the nicest people in pretty much every circle I've been a part of my entire life. I'm accepting, and I smile a lot. I get shit because people sneer at me when I say the word "retard" or tell them I like Aerosmith.
