Weapon Durability, Fanbase Fragility (The Jimquisition)

It's weird, I agree with him for the most part about durability systems. It feels annoying and makes me not want to use the weapons in most games. But Breath of the Wild tweaks the system in a way that makes it work. I can't even explain why it doesn't bother me. The feeling of that game is unexplainable. I've played for almost 20 hours, only done one of the dungeons, and I still want to keep coming back and explore.

But he's totally right about these crazy obsessive fans. I would dismiss them as just immature children, but it seems they're tech savvy enough to do some actual online harassment. Any adult who engages in that kind of behavior is pretty pathetic.

I honestly am not a fan of Sterlings work, and I find it hard to imagine he didn't see this backlash coming, but that doesn't justify the backlash. I disagree with a lot of his review, but it's totally fine for him to have his own opinion. And who knows, there are probably a lot of people who will end up agreeing with him. Remember when everyone was praising Skyward Sword, and this same backlash happened to a guy who gave it a 7.5? It's just absurd. Enjoy what you enjoy.
