Jesus Christ (damn that's ironic) stop it with the bullshit already. I have been raised in a fairly religious environment, I am baptized and have (and still do) worked for a Christian organization. And for real, if words could cause cancer I would be Deadpool by now just by hearing the same old "he wants to save you through Christ" "he is always there for you, you just have to go to him" and all that crap, I just can't hear it anymore. You are all so lonely, you are "special", you are scared, we get it. But stop it with the berating, you guys always know it better, you always pull some smart ass passage from the Bible out of your ass, which is then not only ripped out of context but also misinterpreted. And if nothing else works you throw your psalm 23 around, good dog learned how to do tricks. If God even exists and he hasn't forgotten about his "beloved children" yet, he's cold hearted and straight up ignores mankind. Who cares, if he sacrificed Jesus to "save" us if there are still millions starving and dying, children being born so sick, that their short lived life of a few years is full of pain and suffering and elders slowly losing their mind and memories, forgetting who their loved ones are, not even recognizing themselves anymore and slowly rotting away and fading out of existence. Oh, we should take care of ourselves and the Paradise makes up infinite times for the short period on earth? Cool story, because as soon as we take matter in our own hands we are suddenly leaving the path of God and doing Devils work. People who would otherwise live a completely normal and even happy life suffer away in his name, yet he doesn't speak up. You know what he's doing? Keeping his head down and reaping the benefits. Something good happens? Ooh yay God you are the best, all you. Something bad happens? Well, I suppose I didn't try hard enough or got unlucky. See, people can believe in whatever they want, if they keep it to themselves. Don't be obnoxious, don't be in my way and don't talk to me about it unless I ask. See, my best friend studies theology and we sometimes talk about the Bible, but we also talk about Harry Potter and Kafka in the same way. And apart from that he leaves me alone with that stuff and we get along just fine.
