As well as Curry played tonight, KD really looked good tonight.

That's because for most people flashyness > impact.

Durant scores quietly. But you check the scoreboard and his impact is there. 2nd game in a row Durant has the highest +-. Curry makes everything seem so cool that sometimes people lose track of what's happening. For 2 quarters and 1/2 of the 3rd Curry was having a really rough night shooting. He had 17 points on 6/19, and yet the Warriors were up 13 points. Durant had 20 on 7/8.

Curry is scary because it's really aparent when he's doing well, but Durant is just incredibly consistent.

I know that isn’t everything but I know if I had to choose to remove one of them to improve the cavs chance of winning, it would be curry all day.

You would be wrong. Currys backup is Cook or Livingston. Durant has no backup. You cannot play 35 minutes of Swaggy P in the finals and expect to win. Draymond and Durant can run point for stretches with Livingston, no one can do Durants role effectively. The doubles will start to come, and:

  • They don't have the bench they did in 2015.

  • In 2016 the Cavs chose to double Curry and let a subpar player (Dray and Barnes) take the shots. It worked out extremely well.

  • In 2017 Durant basically played the whole game and scored 35 on 70% TS in the series.

Although both are crazy good, in the Warriors circumstances I would rather have Durant than Curry. In a vacuum, I would still take Durant.
