I have a phobia of them too but I can suppress it. We used to get big huntsman spiders behind our picture frames. I would catch them with one of those circular plastic chinese takeaway containers, slide some card under it and take it outside. The amount of mental control it took when the spider realized it was caught and tried to escape by scampering around on the other side of the clear plastic.. where my hand was. The worst ones were when they were just too big for those round plastic containers and I had to use a bowl then improvise something to slide under it.

"Why not just spray them?" Because it doesn't kill them. Huntsmans aren't too bad as far as spiders go, so I don't mind having them relocated, I just hate doing it. Main problem with them is that they are fucking big and like to hang out in places where you put your hands like a stack of wood/newspaper you use to light fires when camping.
