What are you the "1%" of?

I was in the top 1% of online poker players for about 5 years, I played very low limits but I was always in the top 1% because I had a good tournament ROI. The patriot act in I think 2006 shut it down completely after a few years of mild crackdowns from the Bush administration, eventually the online poker "Black Friday" happened and the FBI seized the International websites and shut down Pokerstars and Full Tilt and seized millions of dollars in players money. I still have no idea how they legally did this it seems to go against all international trade laws but they found a way using the Patriot act as cover.

I had to go get a real job and had to leave Vegas where I was living quite happily. I really hated republicans way before it was cool because of there efforts in banning online poker because they would take donations from the brick and mortar casino owners. That and Iraq was a total disaster obv...

If I had the money at the time to relocate and continue playing I definitely would have left the country but I couldn't afford to. I really felt betrayed my own country at the time and I'm obviously still a little bitter. I mean it is the land of the free but we were the only major country that you can't sit around the house and play poker for money.
