I'd agree with this to some degree, but not all highs are equal. In my experience it depends on the strain being used. In college, like most of us, I had no idea what I was smoking - just whatever my guy could sell me - but the legal market has let me discover that I absolutely prefer sativas for the reason you describe. A sativa strain is likely to make me talkative and active, but an indica or most hybrids do the opposite. Good for a night when I want to zone out, but not good for social situations. If you want to be "in da couch", you choose Indica. :)

This is one of the big benefits of the legal market - lots of great information about what different strains and terpenes do is widely available, and you can pick and choose strains to find your desired effect.
