So my mom has seemed very off lately, I'm no doctor, but maybe depression. She just had her 55th birthday may 16th and according to my grandmother, she's hated her birthday since she was a kid. She hates aging, who doesn't? Regardless, no matter what, it's a pain coming home and talking to her she's mad about everything. She never seems happy and there had to be something to change her attitude. If I walk the dogs at 6 instead of 5:45 it's WWIII it's subtle things that make her furious and hate me for being a bad son. I'm a college student and always try and keep in touch I don't party hard I don't get in bad crowds but it's like if I leave a shirt in the room I need to be disowned. Definitely has been reoccurring for the past two years and I'm thinking she's depressed. So I figured maybe something I can get involved with that she'll enjoy would be great. Something I'll tag along with to make her happy and hopefully also enjoy. She needs a hobby. Mother: 55 Me (male son): to be 19 in a few weeks We live in New York so we experience all 4 lovely seasons of weather we live on Long Island for those who are familiar with the state so we have access to Manhattan beaches woods towns etc. She enjoys outside but she's not one for like a 10 mile hike, loves animals, exercises regularly, we have 2 dogs and a cat. She's not too technologically advanced she can use her kindle and search the web and i regularly have to help her with her iPhone. I'm desperate though she's in a funk and I'm not one for those damn Google suggestions of collecting flowers and making candles. I need a serious hobby I can get my mom involved in something she can do with and without me. Money isn't a crazy problem. We're not poor not rich. I work I make decent money when I'm not at school and she has a steady job she's been with for probably 10+ years. Any help is appreciated.
